Sasha H. Herzig is an Associate at Bouklas and Associates PLLC where she focuses on estate and wealth planning and not-for-profit and corporate law.
Sasha assists individuals and family-owned companies with their estate and business succession planning needs.
She works with families on wealth protection, estate planning and long-term care planning, including the drafting of wills and trusts. She focuses on assisting visual artists with the preservation of their artistic legacy and the transfer and gifting of assets.
She also works closely with business owners and non-profits on the formation of their organizations, internal agreements with employees and independent contractors, and contracts with outside vendors and clients.
As part of her practice, she has taught seminars and Continuing Legal Education courses throughout the New York City area on topics ranging from transferring ownership to the next generation to emergency advance planning for parents.
She has worked with various legal service providers, including Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, assisting low-income artists and arts organizations with pro bono legal services, and New York City Business Solutions, where she has provided pro bono legal counsel to New York City entrepreneurs.
Sasha received her Juris Doctor Degree from the City University of New York School of Law in May of 2012, and her Bachelor Degree from the University at Albany in Economics and Women’s Studies in May of 2009. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2013.
Sasha is a Member of the New York State Bar Association, Trusts and Estates Law Section. She is on the Advisory Council for the American Heart Association and is a MediateArt volunteer, where she provides pro bono mediation for artists and arts organizations.
