Marina M. Theodoris

Marina Theodoris joined Bouklas & Associates in 2022 as an associate of the firm’s Estate Planning group. She joins the firm with extensive experience representing real estate owners and developers in commercial and residential real estate transactions and complex litigation.

At Bouklas & Associates, Marina serves as a strategic advisor to individuals, families, and business owners regarding the full range of estate planning tools designed to pass wealth between generations as smoothly and effectively as possible. Her work includes the structuring of wealth preservation strategies and the preparation of estate planning documents such as wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney and statutory gift riders, and health care proxies. She also helps guide clients through the financial and emotional challenges associated with planning for long term care needs, whether at home or at a nursing home facility, by implementing asset-restructuring strategies that facilitate clients’ eligibility for Medicaid and related government programs and benefits.

Marina’s thorough understanding of the complex intersection of estate planning and business law, especially her background in real estate law, allows her to also provide her clients with the necessary counsel, advice, and pragmatic solutions to help her clients’ businesses thrive for future generations. Accordingly, her work also encompasses assisting clients with the formation of corporations, limited liability companies and other business entities, and the orderly transfer of business interests. Marina was recognized among the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in New York as a Super Lawyer New York Metro Rising Star honoree for 2021 and 2022. She has also lectured for the Rent Stabilization Association regarding the effects of recent legislation on the real estate industry.

Marina is a member of the New York State Bar Association and its Trusts and Estates Law Section and the Hellenic Lawyers Association. She is also an active member of a number of community initiatives including the Homeless Ministry of the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.

Marina is fluent in Greek.
